Frequently asked questions
What is in the catalog?
The location and metadata of every Table of Contents file and rate file the crawler finds, organized by payer, plan and employer EIN. For each plan you see which files cover it, for which month, and how large they are.
Do you host the negotiated rate files?
No. The catalog records where each rate file lives and which plans it covers. Every entry links to the payer's original file, so you download only the files you need.
How often is it updated?
Every source is crawled daily. Payers publish new files monthly, so most sources change once a month.
Which payers are covered, and what is missing?
180 publisher websites from insurers and TPAs. The sources page lists each one with the date of its latest index. The goal is every publisher of MRF files. Spot a missing one? Email hello@accessmrf.com.
How do I get the data?
Browse and search on this site. Download a CSV export to work in a spreadsheet or a database. There is also a JSON API.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no API key.
Who runs it?
AccessMRF is built and run by Felix Haba. Questions, or a missing payer: hello@accessmrf.com.
